So I have a thumprint scanner named ZK Finger print scanner, i know that it came with its own database.. the question is, can I connect the Thumb print scanner device to a .net program then connect the program to a SQL database so I can make it my very own thumprint database?

if you have any suggestions, you are welcome to suggest it. Thanks!

Is there an API for attaching the scanner to a .NET program? From there it'd be easy.

I don't know. but the scanner has its own software, what I want to do is to make my own thumbprint database and thumbprint software with this device.

Check out this [^] link. It's a freeware fingerprint reader SDK. It says it works with the "ZKSoftware ZK6000".

Let me know if this helps you out or if you need more.

I'll try to point you in the right direction.
Do you have the SDK for the ZK7500?
If not here is a link I found at least for x64:

Your sample program does not work. (ZKFPCap.dll) is not being loaded both in Windows XP and Windows 7. I have also installed the SDK included here.

I believe what I found was for x64 so WinXP wouldn't work. Is your Win7 x32 or x64?
