There is an article here: CRoundButton2 - A fancy graphical button[^] - it may not meet your needs exactly, but it does provide a basis.

Griff, is it a true round button or not, do you know?
The problem is, when I tried to teach myself doing such stuff, I found that many "rounded" buttons in the articles are in fact rectangular, they only have a view of non-rectangular, achieved by transparent areas in rendering.

In contrast, a true non-rectangular button responds correctly to the mouse event: on the corner, they are transparent to the mouse. False ("optical") rounded button respond to click where they should not. This is a kind of fraud and can confuse the user.
