The PivotViewer Silverlight control shipped on 6/29/2010. We can now embed a Pivot collection (with great UI) directly in a web page. Pivot is fantastic for sorting, filtering, and browsing large numbers of items. Steve Marx built an example using the new PivotViewer control at http://netflixpivot.cloudapp.net which lets you browse the top ~3,000 movies that Netflix has available to stream online.

Microsoft just completed the rollout of SQL Azure Service Update 3 at 6 datacenters worldwide with the following promised features:
1. 50 GB Database Support – You can now store even more data in a single SQL Azure database as the database size has been increased to 50 GB.
2.Spatial Data Support – SQL Azure now offers support for the Geography and Geometry types as well as spatial query support via T-SQL.
3.HierarchyID Data Type Support – The HierarchyID is a variable length system data type which provides you the ability to represent tree like structures in the database. Microsoft will be following up in the coming days with a blog post on ways to use this data type in your applications.
SQL Azure is now also available in two new data centers located in the East Asia and the West Europe Region.

You can store your web pages in Windows Azure Blob storage. After that, you can map a DNS CNAME record to your Azure Blob storage endpoint URL so your web pages become available in a web browser. It is a good way to construct a web site without the fixed hosting cost. It is also a good way to service important documents through the Azure CDN(Content Delivery Network). This tutorial describes an easy way to manage your Azure web pages directly from your Windows Explorer.
