I think it's to do with information overload. People these days grave information all the time, I think I'm easily one of those people.
You'll notice how people are constantly checking their phone for updates (social media, news ) or information, while driving, working, walking or talking people want that extra source of info.
I've recently read a lot about this, that people need time to think, to digest all of the informaiton, so I try setting a bit of quite time each day, no devices, no people just sit and think for 30 min.

A thought occurred to me Friday night as I lie tired on my settee, I would have quite liked to be in bed at that point, but couldn't be arsed walking up the stairs.
