Cambodia is not listed as a producer of this on websites i've checked.
i'm drinking coffee right now, grown up in north Thailand's mountains by ethnic groups, roasted on bamboo slats. a delicious mild coffee i'd compare to the best Guatemalan mild. but half the pleasure is the unprocessed coconut palm sugar that you won't see outside Thailand, in fresh made daily soy milk.

My colleague has to take our prototype, which could easily be mistaken for the circuitry in an explosive device, onto a plane to Serbia.
In carry on because he can't risk it not arriving.
This should be interesting.

Create an official looking invoice / packing slip with the origin address / company as well as the destination. Security and customs people like paperwork.
Seriously… I had to carry some stuff to Spain once and our logistics people insisted on it for this very reason. It worked wonders.

That's exactly what I suggested, along with carrying schematics, and even documentation (proprietary as it is, if "official" documents they don't understand assuage some suspicion, it's worth it. I really doubt airport security is huge in the espionage business)

I suppose it depends on the airport. I certainly wouldn't want to let specifications or design documents for a proprietary technology out of my hands in China, for example.

A very long time ago, I was supporting a program that I still cannot talk about. One of the pieces of test equipment was not behaving well, and it and I both got tickets (no way was that digitizer going into luggage) to take it directly to the oem's calibration center in Albuquerque. Getting there went fine. On the return flight, I was walking to the plane and lugging this huge box (hey, it fit in the seat). 1/2 up the stairs, the obviously tired and cranky flight attendant declared it had to go in baggage. When I told him this box had a ticket, the look on his face was priceless.
Please update us as to the results of the trip.

Yes... Been there, done that.
I did a presentations (Sydney > Tokyo (3 day business stop-over) > LA (2 day business stop-over) > Mexico > Costa Rica) to a global audience for a manufacturer's conference. I had custom circuit boards for the equipment that we worked with to use for demonstration purposes, 3 conferences in all.
I got there, with the PCBs well packed and in my suitcase. The box was designed for rough transportation. However, getting out of Costa Rica was not so straight forward. While waiting for boarding, heard my name over the PA. Was escorted by 4 fully armed soldiers (yes, soldiers) with semi-automatic rifles down an empty gangway to my suitcase, opened, and the box opened sitting on top.
At gunpoint, yes, guns pointed at me, they asked me what they were. I had paperwork, so was sorted after a discussion. So yes, make sure you have official paperwork with "FOR DEMOSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY, NO COMMERCIAL VALUE" all over the packaging and documentation. This will also prevent any import taxes.
