Saw someone hunt them by stomping down the hills then come back hour later to see where they pop-up. Place a rock at each end of the new tunnel, come back again to get the direction. Mole is at one end or the other. Grab a pitchfork and skewer them right out of the ground. I was amazed when the neighbor did this a few times.

My mouse is kind of annoying, and it's cheap and feels as such especially compared to my Das 5Qs keyboard.
I don't like wireless, but I want comfort, and am left handed so I do not like contoured mice. While I can use my mouse with my right hand, it doesn't work with my desk layout.
And I want something that is well constructed, maybe a little heavy.
Strongly prefer laser mice.
I'm willing to pay a premium if it's specifically what I want.
Anyone have a wired mouse they fell in love with?
In the alternative to wired, I'd take wireless if it's bluetooth and has a desk mountable charging dock.

I'm currently using a Lenovo (wired) - it's heavy enough that you know it's there without being so heavy you feel as if you are dragging a ton weight around your desk. Even shape so good for lefties and righties.
No idea on cost as I can't remember where I got it from - been using it for about 5 years

I'm left handed also, but use a right handed mouse.
Computers I shared were inevitably set up for right handed people, so I just adopted that style. I can't think of anything else I do in a right handed mode.
(Wouldn't it be nice if playing cards were omni-handed?)

Born right-handed, thanks to (right elbow) epicondylitis, I use the mouse with my left hand.

I'm left handed, but back in the 1990's did a lot of basic support which involved going to the user's desk and using their setup, mostly right-handed.
Eventually, I thought "🐘 it! I may as well switch to right-handed."
30 years later, it now feels natural! 
PS: I use a Logitech MX Master 2S. Useless for the left hand!

For the past two years I’ve been very happy with Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED[^]
Like you, I’m a leftie, but I switch mouse periodically to avoid RSI. That makes me prefer a wireless mouse to avoid changing the chord run. This one seems to be the perfect design: it has a super long battery life (must be a year since I last changed the battery), very good response time and a top sensitivity of 10000 DPI (I use it at 5000).
All the Bluetooth mice I’ve had, had the bad habit of disconnecting every now and then so, although I like the idea of Bluetooth, I had to give up for the moment. This one has a receiver that occupies a usb port, but if you were considering a wired mouse you already accepted that.

I have simple needs.

The one I'm using is a "Staples" wired laser mouse; about $15-$20. Surprisingly good. Nice weight; left or right grip; textured thumb wheel.
Bought 2 or 3 different "cheap" ones at the time out of frustration of never finding one around when I needed (a new) one. They all worked out.

May I please inquire why you dislike non-wired . It is difficult for me to understand as i find the wire often catches/snags etc. so i insist on wire-less. By the way i also insist on a smooth pad surface and found teflon ideal especially the solid blocks over woven sheets I am surprised manufacturers of mouse pads do not utilize the material

I don't like dealing with batteries and charging, particularly when I'm always at my desk, and in some cases I've actually misplaced wireless mice. The cord doesn't bother me as long as the mouse is a little bit weighted.

I recently bought Steelseries Rival 3 wired mouse. It seems to be for gaming, but I did not notice anything unusual ... It seems to be quite handy, which is crucial, and also it changes colors ... . At first, I found it somewhat over the top (do I really need a mouse which changes colors ?), however, after a few days/weeks I became addicted to these colors. So far, it's 5/5 for the producers as they delivered something really useful and fun to use ...

In similar circumstances I've been using Logitech G903 mice for the last few years on my work and home PCs. It's a symmetric design with thumb buttons on both sides. Can run in wired or wireless mode (I do the former). You can fiddle with the weight, but I've not. I've had 1 fail after about 3 years with a button that sends multiple clicks.
Only complaint is that their crapware makes it very unintuitive to reprogram it from right to left handed defaults (takes about a 30-60m each time); and I haven't been able to get the save settings to the mouse feature to work; meaning I have to wait for their crapware to load after a reboot before my mouse turns off the frag harder disco lights, swaps the button layout, and cranks the DPI up from it's default of about 3 to make it actually usable.
