It was a bad attempt at a joke.
Now too the crux of my question? What do you think? About cryptography?
I am only partly misogynist BTW.
I have a wife, two daughters, and no grandchildren.

AES and Rijndael are basically the same: Advanced Encryption Standard - Wikipedia[^].
I suggest you to read the "AES Proposal: Rijndael" (link available at the very wikipedia page), for insight.

I apparently got my MIDI code working last night. I had no memory of doing so. In fact, I planned to do so this morning, but I fired up my code and it worked. Then it started coming back to me.
For a blessed minute it felt like having little helper elves that come overnight and fix my things.

Congrats! Your next mission, should you decide to accept it, is to make your code compatible with MPE.
I'm not sure I want my MIDI devices to be hooked up to the internet, though. What's your vision there?
If you think 'goto' is evil, try writing an Assembly program without JMP.

I don't plan on supporting MPE until the industry decides whether they're going that route or doing MIDI 2.0 instead.
I currently am working on MIDI over bluetooth but I hate bluetooth - it's dodgy as heck.

Everyone is doing MPE now. I've got two MPE instruments, and both DAWs I use (Logic and Cubase) and a good number of my UAs/VSTs support it, especially those from Roli.
As for MIDI 2.0, Roger Linn, who created the Linnstrument, said "The vast majority of what people really want to do has already been made possible by MIDI 1.0. This industry moves very slowly, and we have a lot of small developers who don’t have the resources to support every standard, so MIDI 2.0 might take a long time before it is widely in use."
I agree about Bluetooth, especially for live streaming of MIDI data.
Edit: Speaking of Linn, he also said MPE has "existed since the beginning of MIDI in the form of what they called MIDI Mode 4."
If you think 'goto' is evil, try writing an Assembly program without JMP.

I've never heard of MIDI mode 4. Good to know in any case. Thanks!

What a strange time for it to first appear locally. I taped it about 12 hours ago but have yet to watch it.
