I still have my 8088 chip; my InBoard 386 that replaced; the 5150 and "steel" keyboard; XT expansion drive; etc.

I'd play Robotron on the 8088; when I dropped in the 386, I was out swarmed in 2 seconds. Nobody used "wall time" back then; just cycles. Amazing how much software could not run "faster" back then.

(And if your system had more than 256K (custom in board), an app could start "wrapping memory" ... because: it's not possible to have that much memory).

"Before entering on an understanding, I have meditated for a long time, and have foreseen what might happen. It is not genius which reveals to me suddenly, secretly, what I have to say or to do in a circumstance unexpected by other people; it is reflection, it is meditation." - Napoleon I

Straw Poll

When building an application, when is the most important time to consider the User Experience?
They are the ones we write code for, right?
