You are buying Operating Systems on Fleabay?
The only reason I can think of for that is "extreme cheapness" and that's a red flag to me. Is it genuine? Not locked to a specific hardware setup? Does the seller still exist? How many times has he sold the same software (or software code)?
You get what you pay for in this life: And the OS is kinda important - if it isn't genuine and sold under the MS T'n'C's - MS will turn it off if / when they spot it.
I've seen that before with friends who happily ran pirate Win 7, until the day it told them "this is not a genuine copy" and disabled pretty much everything until they sent MS a lot of money ...
I could be wrong, but there are a lot of crooks on FleaBay, and "cheap software" is one way they make money.

it is a genuine copy since it was sent to me a hard copy, as showed in the image. the literals are the exactly same as I demo here( I erased one word and put "STD" there to be precise).
it carries a product license key too.

The only reason (technically, not legally) to install from an OEM version is to get all the proprietary drivers for the custom hardware slipstreamed into it. Unless this disc (I'm assuming that's what it is) is tailored specifically for the Dell hardware you bought, then I don't see the point of using that over a retail version.
How much does Dell want anyway for a Server 2019 disc with their own drivers that they will vouch for?

Yeah...was just pointing out that the benefit of having "the" CD for the exact model of OEM hardware is that you don't have to guess exactly what you have and which driver(s) apply. If you have the wrong CD with the wrong preloaded drivers, I could see how you could end up in a worse place than if you had started with a retail CD with no proprietary driver whatsoever.

Which license version you have (OEM, retail, whatever) doesn't much change the install/configure job. You can use it like almost any other version of Windows OS. But, are you going to:
1. Use it as a PDC (Primary Domain Controller)?
2. DHCP server (it will want to do that)?
3. DNS server?
4. Create your own domain for it?
5. Exchange server with dig cert? Real domain account?
6. File server? FTP?
etc, etc
Actually, you can get a 6 month full blown trial key for nothing.
In fact, I would get one and run it in a Virtual Machine before using your retail version. I do that to test doing upgrades.
Oh, yeah, find a good on-line reference for configuring it. Mark Minasi used to do good books back in the 2003 versions, not sure if he is still around.
Happy learning. I have 3 different servers running as VM's in a T5810. I don't connect many users to it, use it for testing.

what attracts me is that 16core power since this Dell T5810 has 6 core.
I will run a datamining application written in .NET and it may be running all day long.
I already ordered one book from Mark Minasi on Windows server 2012. I personally configured Windows server 2009 long time ago.

You got scammed. That image was of a Windows Server DataCenter edition. DataCenter is almost always only sold with hardware. You can see the word Datacenter poorly scratched out and STD written over it.

I am back to my take over the world (slowly) home project.
And I stumbled on a 2 few strange bugs today where databinding was not working very well today. I can't remembering such bug before....
And I wonder, is WPF (minutely) broken in .NET6 (Core)?
(I wonder of back porting the code for testing purpose but.. ppf... mmm.. perhaps I can do one sample)
Anyway.. any similar experience?

More a knowledge of biology test; lots of very intelligent people here either do not know how vaccines work, or don't trust government/pharma. But what surprises me is the "discussion". There can't be any, it's not a democratic problem where everyone's opinion matters.
Germany is close to making vaccination a requirement. I'm hoping that we copy their policies as we usually do.

I was just being snarky, but in this case the consequences of making poor choices can be pretty dire, and unfortunately affects people around them, so I have little patience for it. It's not really political issue for me. It's a public health issue.
