Duplicates are fair enough, and this is a quite decent duplicate. If I have both the original and the duplicate available, which one would I choose? Would I listen to both?
For some tunes, I love both the original and a cover version, and I listen to both with great pleasure. Even though they are the same lyrics, same melody, the performances are so different that they are completely different musical works. Completely different musical experiences.
My most obvious example is Sidsel Endresen and Bugge Wesseltoft doing Paul Simon's "There must be fifty ways to leave your lover", at Sidsel Endresen: Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover[^]. Even after having grown up with the original (at Paul Simon - 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover[^], I think the Endresen/Wesseltoft is such a different version that is is like a different work altogether. I fully enjoy both in their own right. They are not contestants.
I am "impressed" by Heart's ability to duplicate. But would I choose their version over the original? No. Maybe you would reject Endresen/Wesseltoft for the Paul Simon original - that is fair enough, but the reason why you reject it is not because it is an unfaithful copy of the original, but because you do not like their highly original performance.
I love both performances, both the original and Endresen/Wesseltoft. The latter is definitely not an attempt to make a duplicate of the former.

I can think of one cover that I prefer over the original: Nobody Does It Better[^] by David Sanborn featuring Oleta Adams doing the vocals, where the original[^] was performed by Carly Simon.
I really like Carly Simon, but Oleta nails that song.

The latest. Wait one. This is just so d*** funny it's hysterical.
Finally I remember the command to find the version. It's winver - so 21H1. I have no problem finding ads to update to what microsoft is pushing, but these clowns. There is no button or easy link to "what version is installed on your computer"? God help people who don't know as much as we do. I'm current. That elephanting update was a walking train wreck for me.
I'm sure there is some fix, but why do they make users suffer? Just do your job.

I had an update yesterday and it still works fine, does the same thing -- allows capturing a screenshot of a selected region.
What I don't like is that all the system sounds have changed.

The hot key sequence belongs to One Note. Last I heard, an MS product. If an OS update broke this, I want the video of the one note team pounding whoever broke it. FFS, it's a public interface (code wise). You don't to this.

The Alan Parsons Project - Eye in the Sky[^]
A friend and I have been sharing music for the last two weeks.
One album within a specific theme each day.
We came up with the themes up front, put them in a jar, and simply grab a random one each day.
We've got 60's, autumn, chill, Dutch, music we know from our parents...
Now I had to think real hard in that last category as my parents rarely listen to music.
For some reason they stopped doing that after I was born (or maybe earlier, but they've got quite a collection from when they were younger).
Nevertheless I came up with an album that they listened to quite a lot, unfortunately my friend had the same album and I had to come up with a new one (really, what are the odds!?)
Ultimately, I went for Mike Oldfield, but my first choice was The Alan Parsons Project.
My parents had this best of CD that opened with an intro (Sirius) and then moved on to Eye in the Sky.
Needless to say, good memories, great song, SOTW

I wasn't even 10 at that time, but I remember this song surprisingly well.
I used to play with my father's turntable and cassette recorder, and build my own compilations, of whatever I could gather from my family's discs and those I could afford whenever I got some allowance. I'm pretty sure I would find that title in one of those boxes I stored and never went back to ever since.
