It's publicly available[^], though in a pre-pre-pre-alpha state at the moment. I'll also probably change the name at some point. I'm horrendous at thinking of catchy names so my projects usually start out with a very bland, matter-of-fact name

A) Is this frowned upon here, given that while it's not illegal, nor directly promoting piracy, it is probably most often used by people that pirate old roms?
B) I intend to make one for IoT devices, but the problem is the display is not very fast. There is a way to make a fast enough display potentially, and it's possible a parallel display will be fast enough but I don't have one yet to test it. I was thinking of making it anyway, and it not being real time until someone plugs in a display that is parallel. It would basically work with almost no code change (just plugging in the new driver file). As far as this goes, would this be of interest, or do you think that releasing this even though it's not real time with any hardware i have is premature?
C) I will probably produce one in C# alongside it for the same article.

I cut my "adult" programming teeth on the 6502. Loved it. Things went downhill from there in terms of complexity and stupidity. Sorry, don't mean to be a curmudgeon. I've quite enjoyed some of the "higher level" programming jobs in my life, and yet I still miss the elegance of assembly language programming.

I saw a warning in the press here some while ago warning drivers that police can and will examine dashcams to check for offences.

You do kinda expect it - or I would. But leaving 41 other offences on there for a £40K fine is ... dumb. 
You have to wonder what that is going to do to his insurance premium for a few decades as well!

If he can't afford the fine(s) he's getting, being able to afford his insurance premium should be the last of his worries.
And I don't have much sympathy for anyone in that situation.
