I recently had good success with a "no churn" salted caramel ice cream recipe so when I found a Nigella recipe for "no churn coffee ice cream" I just had to try it. Ice cream and coffee? No, hold me back! 
I'm a developer, and many of us run on coffee: some of us have "bean to cup" machines as a result.
So I bought a tin of Lavazza Instant Espresso (the recipe calls for instant expresso powder, and if it's good enough for the Domestic Goddess it's good enough for me) on the grounds that they should know what they are doing, where Nescafé and Kenco clearly never have had a clue.
And today I made a cup of instant espresso with it.
It was foul. Didn't smell of coffee, didn't taste of coffee - the "burnt taste" just overwhelmed and destroyed anything else - worse even than Costa serve, which is my benchmark for poor quality café culture.
So ... Do I risk it and make the ice cream? I suspect it'll be as bad ...

Take a brick. Suspend it partially in the coffee so it can absorb the foul taste. Then throw away the coffee and chew on the brick. 
Get me coffee and no one gets hurt!

Rather curious Just yesterday I had a coffee experience The day prior I received delivery of the most expensive coffee I have ever purchased to wit USD 23 1lb in an attempt to improve upon the only mildly satisfying USD 15 1lb I am accustomed to The first cup was unremarkable The second cup the next day at 2x dose because at 1x the flavor was mild as I prefer somewhat stronger It was like radioactive horse urine So I attempted again the 1x dose It was 1/2 radioactive horse urine I contacted the company explaining and suggesting it somehow spoiled and went bad though this has never happened to me w/ other coffees and requested refund Still waiting for reply I also visited the roastery site of Mr. James Hoffman of YouTube fame to learn the price required of presumably quality coffee It seems on par w/ what I have been paying Further upon viewing each of his offering I was struck by how each listed a variety of "notes" e.g. "notes of chocolate" "notes of almond" "notes of orange" It occurred to me if I wanted notes of this or that than I would consume this or that The best coffee experience I ever had was many years ago when I was a young man and visited my aunt each Sunday She had a tin of Folgers ground coffee I made a cup in her Krups machine which utilized a gold plated screen/filter The flavor was astounding It had no notes of anything The only note it had was the note of coffee It tasted just like what it was The flavor was iconic I am no coffee expert but do not need to be to know when I am stunned and stunned I was No expensive whole bean fresh ground coffee which I have made in my recent explorations has come close Having written this in now occurs to me to purchase Folgers ground and attempt again as their instant is tolerable and somewhat satisfying certainly more so than the other common brands even though a bit bitter As for your question I do not see any reason to add radioactive horse urine to ice cream
Update: I received email response stating a full refund has been issued for the radioactive horse urine

This reminds me of when I was a young man, and I received a book on wines. The author was a noted wine critic, and the book was essentially his notes and ratings of wines then available, say covering wines you might be able to buy from about 1965 - 1980. There was the usual ratings of various wines from the usual vintners. There was also a section in the book about wine appreciation. I must have read it, because one thing has stayed with me all this time. Near the end of the section of wine appreciation the author said in essence:
In the end, there's only one thing you need to know about wine. No, its not "red with meat, white with fish". It comes down to this - If you like it, drink it. All else is just wine snobbery"
That seems like good advice for just about everything. If you like it, enjoy it. Don't let the "experts" tell you you're wrong, because you're not.

The problem with espresso is it isn't very stable once pulled, instant has a longer half life and can be reheated more often, so you can use it with baking.

I never had good experiences with instant coffee. And the best one I tasted was a cheap supermarket brand
As for running on coffee, my coffee preparation table has the following:
* 1 capsule espresso machine
* 1 American coffee machine (I'm Italian, they're exotic here)
* 1 Moka pot (I'm Italian, they're standard equipment here)
* 1 French press
* 1 Manual grinder preset for french press coffee
* 1 Electric grinder
At full capacity I can make 28 servings of coffee at once (though with my average cups it's nearer to 19).

My own procedure is to grind the beans in an inexpensive electric grinder w/ blades not burs certainly not the Weber HG-2 until I hear no clunking presumably indicating the beans have ground to more or less fine Than to place into Pyrex cup pour water over after has stopped boiling Brew for 3-5m Pour through metal strainer onto unbleached paper filter which on occasion I rinse w/ hot water or sometimes boil first to remove any paper flavor Allow to drip into cup Than consume I believe this is called the "Cowboy" brewing technique May stick w/ Folgers instant as USD 15 1lb/453g for less than spectacular I am getting a little tired of However I enjoy collecting the tins from Brooklyn Roasting Company - Cheerio

Not a surprise here, but my VS2019 has been getting slower & slower over time. This SO article describes it pretty well.
I've tried all the suggestions there and nothing's helped.
If I close & restart VS I get releif for a bit, but then it slows down again. It reaches a point where I hit a key and wait 3-4 seconds to see the result.
Anyone having this issue and/or a solution?

disable resharper?
most people I know having slowing down issue can trace it down to reshaper being installed...
if not that try disable all your extensions and then re-enabling 1 by 1 until you find the culprit

I've only noticed this if I'm running some app that is consuming all the processor time. Which is my own doing, as it's my own apps doing complicated things testing large amounts of data manipulation.

Do you have an over-zealous anti-virus ? Can you whitelist your work folder ? (anecdotal, our IT team have a yuge whitelist for developers machines anti-virus)
Do you have extensions like VisualAssist or ReSharper ?
Does tasks manager shows something special when your VisualStudio goes bad ?

Hi all, I've recently finished school and have my certificates with html, c++, java, python, java script, C, and almost done with Go.
I'm getting a lot of interviews but I'm not particular sure of what I should be looking for. I read the thread on this forum that talks about all the red flags. I'm noticing a log of the people interviewing me are not developers and actually don't do any coding at all. It seems they just get an understanding of what my abilities are by having me take an exam or answer a few specific questions.
I recently passed a background check that took almost 10 weeks to get back. I really don't want to have to wait this amount of time for another job to run the same check. I saw on this website www.backgroundcheckrepair.org/ that some companies can use the same check depending on the situation. My hopes is to be able to interview with a company I feel excited to work with and get started right away and not waste any more time.
I've also been looking into internships on http://www.internships.com/computer-science[^] to see if I should just go about that route as most internships in this field pay pretty well...
I guess I'm just a little overwhelmed and for some reason I thought this would be easier..
PS. I interview pretty well and am able to speak to just about anyone about something..
