That said, I really don't think you need to worry about anything. Arrests are not reported. Convictions are.

In the US, getting arrested is an inconvenience. It means law enforcement (and I use that in the formal constitutional sense of the word) has deemed your behavior criminal. At that point it is up to the court and a jury of your peers to determine if you are guilty. If it does not go to trial or you are acquitted, there is nothing on your record.
Note: in the US, any employer who would decline employment based on alleged actions is ripe for being sued.

As I said before I've too many things from too many people over the years. And if you think for one second that an employer is not going to care about a misdemeanor arrest from 5/6+ years ago all because there was no conviction and it was expunged then you're fooling yourself.

I never said I was pointing a finger at someone, but why tell me I'm wasting my time on a lost cause then? It's the truth isn't it? What employer is going to care that I got an expunged arrest when in reality there gonna show me the door when they see I got arrested whether it was years ago or not?

btw I found out today from my current employer ( I work at a grocery store) that they indeed do background checks and they question you if something was to come up on said background check. Since I wasn't questioned about my arrest when they ran a background check on me I'm guessing nothing didn't showed up.

So the advice you were given was correct then - arrests do not show up. All background checks do is pull from aggregate data sources across the country. I'm assuming you are in the United States. If not, then tell us where you live.
If an American employer refused to hire someone who was arrested but never convicted, they would be subject to lawsuits. Hard to prove, but most large employers won't take the risk. It's a legal thing.
I think you are worried about nothing. Get some studies in and give it a go. If you can fog glass and look like a good candidate, it's just not going to be an issue.
Do you have any idea of how many people are working today with arrest records and misdemeanor convictions? About all of us. If you've been given 1 ticket - you were arrested - called a citation. Don't sign the ticket? Go downtown - most people (except for idiots on YouTube) sign the ticket.
Seriously, listen to what you are being told in good faith, and stop being paranoid or trolling the Lounge. Your pick.

All of your comments are such that you're worried about what might happen. Has it already happened? Have you experienced this?
I'm not criticizing, trying to be an encouragement here. I've been a hiring manager before. I *know* I cannot ask those questions. If you came across to me as intelligent, willing to learn and not an a$$hole, I could work with that.
I'll give you an example. I had a young lady interviewing for a development job. One of the first things she brought up is if I or the corporation had anything against candidates with mental health issues.   Answer: no way I can answer that, I'm not a mental health expert (that was in my head). My real answer, "It's not relevant to the job interview." fyi - 2nd worst hire ever. Real basket case.
Get over yourself, get off your ass and learn something, and go do exciting things.
