PC - I used to have an XBox 360, but it developed the Red Ring Of Death twice, so I went back to PCs.
It'a a more expensive way to do it (because the hardware specs keep rising and so does the hardware price) so I tend to play older games, mostly.

Just sounds like a couple of reviewers trying to sound relevant to me.
It's GTA FFS. Anybody who thinks it's a misrepresentation of the real world needs to stop and ask themselves why they are comparing a video game to the real world.

I'd agree with the misogyny: pretty much the only NPC characters that are female are strippers or worse, and at least one of the daily objectives in the online version requires you to "get a lapdance". That's not good.
The torture I haven't seen, but this is a game about crime and criminals, so since it happens in RL it's probably to be expected.
But ... it's a "sandbox" game - you don't have to do anything in particular, though the game may reward you for behaving badly.

It's 9:40am as I'm writing this (I'm in Eastern Canada; GMT -4:00) and firing up my gaming rig isn't much of an option during the day.  But typically I'm on by 6:00pm, so I'll see if you're on at that time and message you.
But even if that's too late for you, I can't imagine you'd have much trouble getting someone, anyone, to join your MC just for the sake of completing a daily objective. Just mention that's what you're trying to do, and I'm absolutely certain you'll have some takers in any session with more than, say, 10 players.

I'm back to day 1 - I tried several forums, but all it got me was blown up by a 12YO with Mommy's credit card and an Oppressor 2 ...
No matter - I'll get there one day.
Pity the nightclub $*3 bonus has ended, that was raking in some good cash (for my lowly level) while it lasted. Still, in the five days since I bought it, I got my money back with some extra, so it was worth buying.

Save your pennies to buy the sub, which then allows you to do the Cayo Perico heist (solo, if you want, unlike all other heists). The prep missions are trivially easy, and (when done solo) the heist itself always pays at least $1M.

Hmmm ... I'm up to $2.2M as of today, which is the "bare minimum" for a sub.
Let's see ... Cayo Perico ... I need the penthouse, the Kosatka ... and that look like that's all.
I've got the Penthouse - I wanted access to my helicopter: part of the Criminal Enterprise starter pack I got free with GTA V. And I hardly use it any more as it's easier to steal one ...
I was thinking of a vehicle warehouse next, but a heist sounds fun. I'm very tempted ...

Get yourself in a state where you can do the Cayo heist first. With the $ return for the time invested, you'll be able to afford the other businesses much quicker than the other way around.

Some people somehow are not happy about the Cayo heist, because it pays so much more than everything else, it changes the game's "balance" (for lack of a better term).
You can skip the missile launcher for the sub, and the underwater vehicle (I forget what it's called) as they're really not necessary and mostly a waste of money. The small chopper (Sparrow) is worth it IMO if only because it tends to spawn a lot closer to you than any other plane/helicopter you might request. But again, strictly speaking, if you're short on cash, you don't have to get it at the same time as the sub.
