I was contracting. A better contract came along, and I was looking at either renewing or moving on, so I moved on.

As far as Slang, I don't work in software any more, this is just for me.
When I was growin' up, I was the smartest kid I knew. Maybe that was just because I didn't know that many kids. All I know is now I feel the opposite.
