android studio is the worst out of the box so far I've used. took me forever to find a decent theme with good contrast. my dyslexia isn't as bad with dark backgrounds and light text, like the visual studio dark theme seems to work well.
too many editors are grayish on grayish, it's pretty but causes way too much eye strain.

The fifth version is about to go off support[^], leaving two versions supported: the one that just got proclaimed safe to use (1809), and 1803. Not counting long term support releases. And soon the release they’ll start Beta testing in “late May”.
As for Weven, I think they’re all on paid support these days. Which means... uhm, two? (Release and SP1)

Almost.
Weven's supported until January 2020[^].
Windows 8 is done and dusted.
Five versions of winio are either booted or being booted from support.
So we're currently on windows 15, with only 7, 14, and 15 supported -- and 14, 15, and 16 will also probably go out of support before weven.
So the same amount of versions that came after weven are out of support as versions before weven.
If that doesn't make it clear that even ms thinks windows 8 and winio are cr@p, I don't know what does

Pity is... it has no consequence... they still continue with their crap filosophy and getting their product even worse with each new version

It's probably trickier than that, given that cumulative updates are still being released every month for everything except for 1507 (NOT LTSB) and 1607.

Except for the fact that I still see updates coming through WSUS for 1703 and 1709. I'd say those two versions are still supported, which would make sense as they're less than two years old.
Now, for the flip side, how long is the support life for Android versions?

Depending on your definition of "version", Windows 7 has either next to infinite of them (if you consider all unique combinations a version) or 2, namely SP0 and SP1. Or one, really, as there's only one right version, the one with the full patchset applied.

Going through the learning material about Blazor and Razor components (they seem to both strongly relate to each other) coming up with .NET Core 3 (or later)...
Just was blown away by that (I am over-reacting a bit here):

make my component library, includes it, use it, BOOM!
it even use the style.css in the component library without having to do anything!
none of those painful copy all image/stylesheet/whatever needed!
I have to say, this Blazor and Component thing is starting to grow on me.
I also like how easy and elegant it was to implement an (HTML) Tab control (previous tutorial item: Create and use Razor Components | Microsoft Docs )
Side note: I might do the thing again without Blazor.
Blazor is not officially released yet and it has a few tooling and debugging issue.
But Razor components are official right now and they are good.
And extremely close to Blazor component (save some project settings, it seems, or something of that order)

I've been helping someone with a Blazor project for a while now. Like anything browser based there are many thorns amongst the roses. It's certainly a vast improvement over Javascript, using C# instead for both client and server side of a project.
But there's no visual editor for UI development, and it's still CSS based, so it is very tedious to create nice screens and as with all CSS based systems it can be a house of cards where one day you change something and the whole thing falls apart for no apparent reason. And of course, being HTML/CSS under the hood, you still have all the limitations that brings with it.
It's quite easy to create components, though there are significant limitations on nesting them. It's easy to combine HTML based content with dynamically generated content.
