I once thought of developing a TV controller finder, but to make a long story short, it's remote locations all the way down.

Eventually we moved the TV closer to window, where we could make use of the metallic curtain rod on occasion.

I ended up buying a cheap Radio Shack $13 antenae that worked pretty good but I worked in an electronic shop fixing TVs and a customer came in and gave me a super big antenae with a rotor and I bought a 20ft. tower and the little $13 RS one did a better job so I sold the big one.

When they first came in, they were easy to find; they were on the end of the cable! Cat / dog / wife / kids all tripped over the wire of course, so usually easier just to leave the remote on top of the tv set.

No, I can never find it, because the grandchildren come over and hide it!It's easier to find if I have plenty of candy and cookies when they come over, Happily my children all have dental insurance!

The explanation should be pretty obvious following the answer, but I would appreciate any feedback on the clue as there was 1 or 2 parts that I felt wasn't immediately obvious as to their meaning. So I am wondering if it was a nice challenging clue, or just a badly designed one?
I am going on holiday on Friday for 2 weeks, so tomorrows clue will be much easier... hopefully
Full clue breakdown:
celebrity = VIP
outfit = uniform
the casualty department = ER
the peacekeepers = UN
VIP uniform based around ER, but let's leave UN out of this
VIP + ER + uniform = Viperuniform
Viperuniform - UN = Viperiform
viperiform = Snake-like shaped
