I agree that there is no general answer to "posting at CodeProject".
I will assume you have not taken my comment about posting (to stimulate conversation or to pollute the forum) literally, as the only two purposes/reasons for posting.
It is also commonly understood by all that responses are not required. So we are in agreement on this point.
You noted nothing was inappropriate in the post. I will assume you are referring to the entire thread and not just Cornelius's OP.
I will assume you do not actually believe that very political and obscene topics are acceptable in the Soapbox.

Although this has clearly seeped from Lounge to Soapbox level, I cannot help but heap ridicule on the insecure twerps who try to blame the US for everything - and if they cannot, then they simply wave their conspiratorial flag.
Foil hats are more stylish in the Soapbox - a good place for you to hole up for the winter.

Ok, I'll bite. What obscure logic are you using that leads to the unwarranted conclusion the US is to blame for everything? You should start a new thread in the Soapbox which is a more fitting place for you to raise this topic.

I responded to "I cannot help but heap ridicule on the insecure twerps who try to blame the US for everything". I made no such statement, or even alluded to it, that the US is to blame for everything. Matt's responded to my post and so it seems reasonable to assume he was directing his contempt at me.
So how do you suppose I misread?

I have already thanked you for pointing out my typo.
As we have not had many exchanges, I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you did not miss the wry humor in my response. However, you did.
Balboos was foolish to interpret my response as being critical of the US. I did no such thing. Hence I responded with wry humor about his "obscure logic" and that if anyone was making such a claim then it was him. In short, you misread the exchange.

My second response to you was clear, "I made no such statement...". What followed was simply checking to see if you had caught something I missed. This was not the case.

But of course criminals, being people, make mistakes all the time.
Matter of fact that is something that police rely on.
As an example, far as I can tell more potential terrorists have been captured because of their mistakes then any actual proactive attempts by governments to try to identify them first.
