If you find yourself "upgraded" to this crappy new Skype, go to the Skype download page[^], and click the little down-arrow on the right of the blue download button. The bottom option there is "Get classic Skype". Download that, uninstall your current version, and install this - back to normal!

So, why does everyone hate the new one so much (aside from the aforementioned fixed font size)? I looked at some screenshots, and it seems like they just made it look like Slack, HipChat, or (insert name of other modern chat client here)...

According to the release notes that go along with every new iteration of Windows 10 (1507, 1511, 1607, 1703 and now 1709) it's pretty clear they've been spending a lot of time trying to make sure Windows remains high-DPI friendly, can work with different monitors that each have their own DPI settings, etc.
So I find it somewhat amusing to know that one of their most visible apps won't let you change basic configuration details like font size...

Clearly you have been around the block my friend. I haven't touched Corel anything since the 90s... and yet I still remember the pain... oh the pain... curse you Corel Draw!
