Sounds encouraging. Did you know there are actually more Dog video's than Cat videos on YouTube.

But vacuum video's are #1
99.99% of videos on utube suck - except the cat ones

Indeed - and just before him Bishop Abel Muzorewa was the (brief) PM of the country - and his name is an anagram of "Oops, ah rule Zimbabwe". (Now there's one for the daily CCC!)

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Hi All,
Plugged a debugger/programmer into a USB port, dang PC powered off no warning. Go throught the motions, Power still to lead, unplug everything power up. PC boots to Win 8.1(?) no issues, works fine open Out Look, post cr*p on CP via Chrome, start plugging in stuff, Com Port adaptors, microcontrollers dev boards, mis-judge the usb port for plugging programmer in to. Every thing works fine ( ), use the programmer that nuked PC no problems. Put it down to early morning pre-coffee error, plug memory stick in to copy over some test results, bang!, fart! PC shuts down. a dodgy USB port? USB's are tough I once completely destroyed the USB interface to a PC it did not complain. This Dell can be taken down by plugging something into the USB Thats a new one on me, anyone else seen anything similar...

Tower or laptop? How old? It's possible that the USB connector is broken on the motherboard, intermittent signal or short. See if there is something bad inside that connector.
Thankfully, I'm on my last high school student in the house. The one before her came home with the laptop and said, "Hey Dad. There is something wrong with my laptop. The USB connector is funky." He has a wireless mouse with that little USB dongle that Logitech uses.
I took a look at it. Hmmm, dongle is loose. Closer inspection: USB port is loose. Even closer inspection.... "Son, you want to tell me what you did to this thing?"
Seems he had gotten into the habit of tossing his bag (with said laptop in it) a little too playfully.

Tower, a Dell (or Smell) Optiplex something running 8.1 because Win10 and compatibity...
USB, a good idea but, I remember when I blew the output due to a charge making mince meat of the Poly Fuses with a stupid static charge. This one port at the rear of the machine seems to kill it.
More investigation Monday or when I haven't got 50+ things to do I might get a new PC (or a trip to the moon!)
