I think it was actually my turn to post the CCC unfortunately a combination of work (I know, never an excuse), a dental emergency, of which I'l spare you the details, and a poor memory all meant it didn't happen.

That's how my modest workbox greeted me when I woke it up from standby this morning. Out of memory? After standby? This computer may be nothing special, but it's not exactly a C64.
Turned out that the only (cr)app to be closed was the MSMH 2015. You don't know that? It's the Mickeysoft Memory Hog, also known as VisualStudio 2015.

Not really. I quite liked the Ataris (I've got three of them somewhere) but the C64 was my first computer, and you never forget your first love.

Grandpa Elf needs a checkup once in while, especially when I rejuvinated him with yet another self built expansion. Just recently we found a really simple way to add a USB port plus a controller chip to read and write the FAT32 file format on a memory stick. Looks like the old computer will soon use a memory stick as SSD.
