Just order the 6 and ask them to put in how many you want between 1 and 5. You'd still pay the price for 6 pieces though but most fast food places would be happy to oblige.

If you think 'goto' is evil, try writing an Assembly program without JMP.

Without specifying whether the purchaser may (or has to) order one package, or more than one of each package, and other details, I think there is no real question here to begin with.
Otherwise the largest available quantity is always: "gimme all ya got." And, asking for more than they "got" is nonsensical.

I always like the situation, when I succeed to create a puzzle - not always intentionally - where there is room for interpretations of any kind...

You can order whatever you want. The question should be 'What is the largest number of chickens you can order that the restaurant cannot fulfil?' and the answer is 'infinity'. (Before someone else suggests infinity + 1 or infinity + anyPositiveNumber, I'll still be right because infinity + n is still infinity)

And that's a proof that 'infinity' is not a number, so you can not order 'infinity' number of packages...
