Yeah but it gets to 38c and thats a little extreme when it lasts for days on end. And in the centre they are getting 42c+ but that is a dry heat so you get roasted instead of broiled.

Read that he said that was the lowest day time temperature. Here West of Sydney we have topped 42 Celsius a couple of days in the past few weeks. Far from comfortable when it hasn't gotten below 25 Celsius at night for a while.

I took the dogs out after they woke me up at 2 in the morning. Standing on my deck looking at the moon an hour before it set. I saw this fly in front of the moon, flare bright green and disappear behind some clouds! I'm in central Michigan and the videos are from Illinois and Wisconsin!
Anyone else catch something like this?

But when I was young we often spend the night at the beach watching the Perseids - Wikipedia[^] (honestly, doing that was not the primary purpose). I once saw one exploding when hitting the atmosphere creating a shower like a display of fireworks.
