Local news from the local (Chicago) TV stations. Usually in small snippets in the morning or evening. I don't usually watch the whole broadcast.
National and International news from a news aggregator like Google. Many of their sources still lean strongly left ( ) but it's about the closest to balanced as I can find. I think it's important to see alternate perspectives.
However, as a rule I avoid the far left sources like Huffington Post, Salon, CNN... I can only tolerate so much BS.

It doesn't matter, just use multiple sources of [hopefully] different allegiances. I use NewsNow.co.uk online because it brings together news from a lot of different sources and it covers non first world countries in detail.
