I'm just building an expansion for my old computer from 1978 (and its design from 1976). It will theoretically allow up to 16 megabytes for a little 8 bit processor. I simply don't ask Billy the Gates.

Alas - nay, regrettably - I would choke on that cheese omelette.
A childhood 'thing', out of nowhere: an aversion to eggs, especially cooking them in the same room where I am or will be, can cause an unpleasant scene. Can't stand the taste of a glass of milk, either. Love cheese, yogurt, etc. No allergy to things made with eggs nor to dairy; not lactose intolerance.
I met someone else, a German (whilst I was in Europe) who had the same thing happen to his sensibilities. Out of nowhere. Some aversion, same effects. Tough luck on both of us.
So - after assaulting whoever cooked it, I would, indeed, choke on the omelette if I tried to eat it..

I'm getting a lot of snail mail at work. Most are technical magazines and product announcenments.
While checking the mail this morning, a small magazine felt out of another one. I expected an advertisement brochure but got corrected:
It was a periodical of the German society for carrier pigeon cultivators.
After wondering why such has been bundled with a magazine for electronics, I turned it over and found an address label:
Misrouted mail, even not for this area. Must have been slipped into the magazine in some mail delivery centre.

You realize they "race" them? Weird hobby to my mind: pack bird in box, put box in big lorry. birds driven a long way away and let go. Sit in smelly shed waiting to see how many of yours evade raptors. Fastest one home is the winner.

I know.
One article was about a bird that settled down on a research vessel in the North Sea (so a little bit on topic because I'm working in the oceanographic area). It started off a few times but always came back to the ship (maybe because feeded there). After a week the pigeon left the ship and find it's way home to Hamburg (has been set out in Paris).

Too bad you don't have a pigeon, you could strap the magazine to the pigeon and get it to the person who subscribed.

No, pigeons go home, so his own pigeons would just fly into his own back yard.
He needs to ask the person who was supposed to get the magazine to send a pigeon to him (ask the truck with the boxes of pigeons to drop one off).
Then strap the magazine to the bird and it will bring it home.

Have a try: it's not simple, but it shouldn't be too bad. Think of a word, then try to find "bits" that fit.
For example, yesterdays:
Word chosen: DIABETES
Break it down, and you have DIES around ABET
Look for synonyms for each word, and he got "comes to a close" and "help". Add in something to indicate one is within the other "with internal" and the clue becomes "Illness comes to a close with internal help" - where "DIABETES" is an "illness"
Have a think about it, and see if you can work something out - if you can, great! If you can't, talk to me nearer the four hour limit and we'll work something out. Sound fair?
