No, I'm not looking for validation or someone going "no Pete, you're clever". That's not what this post is about. Whenever I look at topics around quantum theory, I realise just how little I actually know - it's a humbling but liberating feeling, knowing that there's much more to learn. So, today's bit of quantum wizadry... quantum entanglement gives rise to wormholes[^]. Check out the explanation of gravity as an effect of entanglement.

Not just you either: in a Sixth Form Physics lecture (not part of the syllabus, but QM was the teacher's special interest) we had an hour long lecture on "the effective mass of a hole*" which I still don't understand! 
* "hole" - i.e. somewhere that an electron wasn't.

Me too - although I have to say that the comments section of a theoretical physics site is so much nicer than the comment section of any other site I have encountered. We have to hope no political party ever takes a position on the many worlds conjecture.
My problem with this is that if the state change is truly instant (which all I have read indicates it is) then the length of the wormhole must be zero or the information is still travelling faster than light and your wormhole has not solved any problems.

I read Brian Cox's and Jeff Forsahaw's Quantum Universe - I now know lots about lots of clocks but very little about Quantum theory

I have a nagging doubt .... The ability to explain something to a 7 year old seems to be a trait of those who really understand their subject . Except in quantum mechanics . This leaves me with a huge dollop of scepticism , and thats probably healthy.
