Years ago (like 30) I walked out of my apartment to my car, which meant having to walk by the dumpster in the parking lot. I heard these tiny "mews" coming from the dumpster and discovered someone had put 4 kittens, probably no more than 3 weeks old, in a cardboard box in the dumpster. Frown | :(

I took them in, there was more flea than kitten to them, gave them all baths in de-flea-ing stuff (box said not to use on less than 6 week old kittens, but there really wasn't much choice.) The water turned pink from all the flea poo.

Kept them for a few weeks, it was the cutest thing to see them playing in the book cases and my other two cats took to them right away, which was amazing. They all survived and I found good homes for them.
