Find a domain where there are long development cycles; not necessarily in the software itself but in the application of the software.
Traditional domains ( engineering, aerospace, banking/insurances..) have long cycles.
New domains ( mobile apps, games...) have small cycles.

"fast-paced" requirements are often written by people who work at a snail's pace or are cr@p at managing their time, so they think any job that requires a reasonable level of output is way too fast.
Either that, or they're added by morons in HR, who took a course that told them to use phrases like that because it makes the company sound cool.

But, of course, the most important part of any tune is the silences -- in fact, it could be said that a tune is nothing more than a silence that is broken up by a succession, regular or otherwise, of sounds.
Actually, that's inaccurate, because I say that it could be said but I just said it so it has been said, so it has therefore gone beyond the realm of couldbesaiditude.

Hi All,
Had one those annoying phone call, you know the type, heavily accented english, telling you to use the run dialog box to go to open event viewer (and look in horror at all the yellow triangles, red crosses) a webpage and download a piece of software in trial mode(!). Getting rather upset when I said 'well no, thats a security risk', 'your internet will go down for two to three weeks!' 'why have bt not told us this before now or posted anything on there web site.'
