It's not upvotes - it's whether it's marked "OK" in the moderation queue. Ratings don't affect spam detection.

You need to be "Special" (or in my case "Special Needs") to see it - it's only available to some people for safety. I think it's Protector and above.

Oh, I've got all kinds of rights on the site (all totally undeserved, because all I do is talk bollocks in the Lounge).
I suppose I should be more active in my participation, because I don't have any agendas, and have a PoV that is generally considered as being useful, in development environments, but I've associated CP with "lazy time", so I suppose my donkey will just sit there until it's kicked.

We tend not to call out what triggered the spam filter and what didn't because it doesn't really help you, but it does help spammers. "and love" was a phrase that contributed to the spam score - but it would be foolish to advise you not to use that term.

I heard this sentence a few days ago in a discussion around the hype for ChromeOS which will be able to run almost all Android Apps native in a few weeks.
While I think it is true for many usecases, we all know, that there are cloudbased IDE's around for us Software Developers.
But still,... when I think about Visual Studio, which runs, of course, in Windows, I write Windows-Software... well... in Windows.
So - what would be, if Google decided to Release Android Studio... for Android?
Would you use it?
Given you are one of the people who think about buying a Chromebook (I already own two Chromebooks and I love them!) and also given you do Android Development, would this be a great thing?
I honestly think so. Because I use my notebook and desktop PC only for Android development. They are never turned on for anything else. I do almost everything on my Chromebook, except software development. Ok, sometimes paint.net is a handy graphics editor - this is the second thing for what I sometimes use a desktop OS.
I would be very happy to have Android Studio in Android --- did you ever think about that?

You'd need a "proper" keyboard though - the onscreen thing is a PITA for coding. (I tried when I first got a tablet with one of the online C# compilers).

Yes of course - I was talking about doing it on a Chromebook - which is at least a convertible with keyboard and hopefully a mouse - but almost everything can be done with the right keyboard shortcuts.

Why not. Plug a keyboard and a mouse into a tablet, and you've got a mini PC -- but very mini.
I don't know about you, but two large monitors is barely enough for me, when I'm coding.

 i mean ON A CHROMEBOOK (seems the subject containing the word "android" is a bit misleading when i talk about a chromebook sorry for that!) which is in fact a notebook, 15 or 17" which is, what I am currently developing on.
In my job I use multiple monitors and it really helps, yes - but at home I am used to stick with a single display. it works. not as fancy and needs more alt-tabbing but it's ok.

Do chromebooks have VGA or HDMI ports?
If so, you can plug another monitor in. That'd be usable enough.

It's damn annoying - it's far too easy to either forget, or miss-key and hit it. 
I don't think I've ever used it for it's "intended purpose" (but then I don't use the "Back" button that much either).

Never mind that, when are they going to work on important things that people need, like the ability to disable the back button via asp.net code. It'll practically solve world hunger.

The thing is, it's not a "Back" key, and has never been a "backspace" key (the left arrow is the backspace key).
It is, and always has been the "Destructive Backspace" key, which goes back one space, "destroying" whatever is in that space.
"Destructive Backspace" is a bit much to write on a key, though.

My backspace key could have a multiline label... 
My PrtSc and Pause buttons have Sys Rq and Break on the bottom side of the keys! But I really have no clue what that does. Modern keyboards don't have it I think, they're too flat to have any text there.

I don't think it actually does anything (anymore).
A coworker uses the num lock key (it's on by default, he puts it off). Now that's annoying.
And caps lock should get a less prominent place. HOW OFTEN HAVE YOU TYPED CAPS INSTEAD OF TAB OR SHIFT WITHOUT NOTICING?

I never even knew that Backspace takes me back. I always click on the back button.
