However, if you feel evolution is wrong then there is nothing to stop you writing up your explanation, having it peer reviewed and published in a reputable journal.

There are places in the fossil record where single trees stand vertically through many layers.
In the fossils, we see more "advanced" creatures who could flee uphill the longest in a mass extinction event buried near the top.
