I assumed that 'US only' meant that the content would only be viewable from there; but it is indeed simply the page with US-content.
Things that are visible to US audiences only are usually bypassed by setting the proxy.

Anyone who's making this argument hasn't followed the logic to its conclusion. At the speed the planet is going, even a 1 second jump would cause you to end up in space. So the fact that a 1 minute jump and 30 year jump into the past worked in the movie means that Doc's time machine compensates. Maybe the gravitational well of the Earth and Sun drag space-time around, at least as far as time travel is concerned. Or perhaps it's relativity --- all measurements are relative to something, there is no such thing as a fixed point in space. The time machine travels in time relative to the planet.
So rather than be impressed with the speaker's intellect or the comedian's wit, I end up thinking they're both a bit dull, and slow to the punch.

No, if focus is on the search box this won't work. Focus needs to be on the body of the page, which is where it's when you load it.

I have a crappy screen at home. It's washed out, has a terrible viewing angle, and the colours drastically change as you change the angle at which you are viewing. It's a Samsung and I had assumed it would be pretty good but caveat emptor.
I was in the Display Properties dialog in Windows 10 - again - and decided to give the display tuning wizard a go. I've used this in Win7 but completely forgot about it. 2 mins later and my screen is now actually usable. I'm impressed that seemingly small tweaks, guided by that wizard in such a sensible, intuitive way, have made such a huge difference.

Always done that with the buttons on the front-bottom of the monitor...
(I too have Samsung and more than happy with)

You assumed, ah yes. I'd have thought you'd have investigated it's capablilities before the buy, but just because that is the sensible thing to do musn't let me assume everybody would do that.

Well, sometimes one makes assumptions on the quality of an item by it's brand, especially when one's in a damn hurry. Call me human.

It can't. IT did, however, help me simply, quickly and effectively make the best of a bad setup. Good enough, in fact, that the issues with the monitor aren't anywhere near as noticeable.

There are places (like banks) where they put hardware filters over the screens to deliberately narrow the viewing angle. Obviously they don't want to deal with snoopers.
