Last year, I had two interviews for a job in a company, first technical, second with management; The result of the second interview was "All OK for us, the next step will be a meeting with HR for clarifying administrative details, we will contact you". And then nothing anymore. When I called back after a week or so, the guy could barely remember we had met, so had to look up for my name to know who I was, and told me "Ah yes, that job opening has been canceled on monday" and he hung up. Confused |
At first, I really wondered what company has the time to set up two appointments with a candidate, spend 5 hours in interviews, some part of it with senior management, to finally forget to call back the candidate ?! In between, I came to the conclusion that the job was offered someone internal to the company, but they had at least to do some external interviews to satisfy some non-discrimination code of conducts. Apparently, my own company does that as well. Still, this is overall very sick. Dead | X|
