I have two IMSAI 8080's in the basement, circa 1977, both in good condition. The last one was retired from embedded programming development (8048, 8051, Z80) in the early 90's. 500 watt linear (!) power supply with a transformer that weights 15 lbs. Does that qualify as "big iron"? They sit next to a real IBM AT.

All of the above. My heart belongs to the Color Computer and TRS-80 lines but it warms up to the rest of the great 8 bit machines of the era. Still actively used in my humble abode:
TRS-80 Model I and IV
Tandy Color Computers 1, 2, 3 and MC-10
ZX-81 (just got an SDC reader for it)
C= Plus/4, VIC-20, C64 and C128
TI 99/4A
Atari 400, STe (ok, 16 bits) and 800XL
Sinclair QL

Kudos! Excellent collection you have there.
I had an 800XL, but I was a fan of the CoCo by far. I had two of the 2's (one for hardware experiments/projects) and one of the 3's. Great little computers.

My lappie has decided that Weightdotone is pure evil and has now tried to install it three times and each time has ended ignominiously with a FOAD order.
So my current feeling is that I will very shortly partition and become a fully [un]paid member of the Church of The Penguin.
