I did the opposite. My wife of 37 years now works in the same place as me. With the fact that we live 7 minutes from the office and drive a hybrid, our commuting costs are really low!

I've made that same mistake over and over again... Mind you, so far, it has only been crushes, and I have never actually managed to get anywhere with them (goes without saying, I'm a programmer/nerd)
