Monday
The professor isn't in the room but his umbrella is on the table. After 15-minute grace period, all the students left the room thinking the professor is absent.
The professor then arrives 10 minutes after the students leave.
Tuesday
The professor walks inside the room then ask the students, "Where are you yesterday? You didn't attend my classes!"
One of the students answered, "We left the class after 15-minute grace period thinking that you're absent, Sir."
Then the professor said, "You've seen my umbrella on the table, well, that clearly means that I'm here!" Then walks out of the room.
Wednesday
The professor walks inside the room and saw no one. Only umbrellas on each of his student's table. 
Don't mind those people who say you're not HOT. At least you know you're COOL.

My car passed it's MOT!
(For non-UKians, it's an annual fitness-for-the-road test for all vehicles over three years old, which is getting harder to pass with each passing year. Used to be "Do the lights and brakes work? Has it got tyres? With any tread?", it now checks emissions, airbags, and even washer bottle content.)
And then, as they drove it out of the MOT bay and parked it ready for me, the handbrake cable snapped... 
So now, I won't get it back till this afternoon. Ho hum.

I've never owned a a car that was fifty years old or older, so I've never worried about the upper limit.

The thinking is that once a car gets that old you are obviously going to take care of it; which I do. At 20 years they become Road Tax exempt as well.

Unfortunately the same can't be said for the other twenty owners!
(Though not with the current one - One elderly lady owner, I even found her disabled parking badge still in the car when I got it home...)

I am not sure what the tax exemption timeframe is but it isn't 20 years - I still have to pay road tax on my '76 vehicle

You're right, it's pre 64; so 40 years.

I think its pre 73 so whilst its 31 this year next year it will be 32 etc. its not rolling but a fixed point
(it used to be older than 25 years but that changed in 97 hence the pre 73 date)

I have a '76 VW Camper - MOT time is always rather fraught

Yeah - I was really chuffed that it passed straight away.
Then the handbrake fails immediately afterwards... 
Still, couple of years ago, it failed as I parked up in the MOT bay for the test! (Different car, I should mention)
