I regularly picked the center of my parents raspberry and blackberry patches in the same cotton shorts and tshirts I wore the rest of the summer. I barely got scratched unlike the idiots *cough*youngersistersandtheirfriends*cough* who foolishly tried to charge forward directly into the narrow animal paths I carefully pulled open and let fall shut behind me. When they tried they generally got more scratches in a single attempt than I did in an entire summer of picking.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Wow! A prudish berry!

So me and the Mrs. are watching our Netflix, taking a gander at the next episode of Twilight Zone from 60's "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up[^]". Pretty funny. Episode has the guy that played the doc in the Menagerie [pilot for Star Trek 67] as one of the aliens. Now of the aliens in the show, one had a 3rd arm, and the other 3rd eye on his for head, but they blend in, and speak English, no communicable diseases and do fairly well at blending in even though they have world colonization in their heart.

Well extra arm, extra eye sounds like the locals around here (Bristol UK, close to Sommerset land of the prehensile tail!) Sadly English is not local language (it is appears to be Hipster!)

Isn't it annoying how stupid computer languages are? The meaning of what you're trying to do is perfectly clear, but no, the computer can't figure that out.

Don't!
They'll modify VB so it does accept it...

It IS totally clear for the computer what he meant to do. Obviously he wants to create a datetime with 2008 Ticks

But, is the meaning clear? Does he want May 1, 2014 or January 5, 2014? Regionalization... arrgh!
That's why I tend to write the phone as alphabetic and avoid the issue...

Down that path like a nightmare, I work with a POS call Murex where the dealers can enter all sorts of crap 1.2m, .78k, 300k and the system interprets it. The problem comes when they supply the original values to downstream systems. PLEASE make the bastards conform to some data standards.
