If SourceSafe is involved then it'll probably lose steps 3 through 7 and reverse 12 and 8.

 - We admitted we were powerless over SourceSafe—that our lives had become unmanageable.
- Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
- Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of Linus as we understood Him.
- Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our code base.
- Admitted to Linus, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
- Were entirely ready to have Linus remove all these defects of code.
- Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
- Made a list of all applications we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
- Made direct amends to such applications wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
- Continued to take program inventory, and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
- Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with Linus as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
- Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to SourceSafe-ics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

I'm revolting against the silly thread game, you lot are just revolting.
It's time for a revolution, England is the only country never to have had one (that may not be true), and we are long overdue.
Let the Scots go, f*** 'em. Give the top bit of Ireland back to the rest of it, f*** 'em. And just stop pretending Wales is a proper country and consume it completely (at least the England football team will have a decent left winger), f*** 'em.
And whilst we're at it, f*** the British and f*** the f***ing English too.
So now we're left with just what is now called England & Wales we need a new name for the new country, England is a stupid name anyway, and we need a new flag, not that hideously dreary red cross on a white background, and we need a new national anthem, partly because the current one is a miserable dirge, but mostly because it is time to get rid of the monarchy too, f*** 'em.
Offer them around the Commonwealth, if anyone wants them they can have them, but we're not paying for them anymore. Abolish the monarchy, sell of their stuff or convert it into theme parks, get rid of the unelected house, rid the state of the scourge of religion.
In schools teach everything about every religion out there, and then destroy every last idea of with all relevant facts and evidence. Compulsory, for every child, if they still want to have an imaginary friend then fair enough, but at least give them the chance of making an informed decision.
Sack the government, and rebuild from the ground up, anyone wanting to be a politician has to have had a proper job (not working for daddy) for at least 5 years.
Together we can build a brave new world, who's with me?

With you to an extent: Her Lizzieness is OK - she does a lot of good for the country, particularly with the "more backward" countries that are easily awed by a pretty crown. CharlieBoy is a waste of air though.

Turn that round: we swallow them. That way we get a sensible name for the country - we could call it "Wales", our monarchy is dead (killed by the English) and there is no need to sack the government, since they become a regional council (with reduced powers)

Better idea: anyone wanting to be a politician can't be.
The government is selected by lottery. All your possessions are sold and the funds placed in trust. After the five years, they are returned to you adjusted for how well everyone else has been doing under your rule. So they have an incentive to promote the well being of the country or they will be poor as church mice when they are kicked out.

Yep!
Pity he died - I enjoyed his books; he was an excellent writer.
P.S. Linky no worky (the paste truncate bug again): Eddings[^]

He was. The final words of the Malloran always put a lump in my throat:

Good idea.
Although if we go with Griff's idea and Wales consumes England then the new anthem should be Dirty Deeds Done With Sheep.
