I need a safe for the house. So I am searching the inter-webs and every site is blocked by corporate policy! Wish there were more websites devoted to needing a safe and NOT owning guns. Don't want people thinking I am a fanatic researching a 72 gun capacity safe. I am more interested in how many computers and file boxes it can hold : (

Regardless, have you tried searching for "fire safe"s? In theory, they're the other main type generally sold to consumers; although if I had enough guns to need a 72 rifle capacity safe I'd want one that would protect my investment from a fire as well as from thieves.

Keep in mind that advertised "capacity" actually does not include weapons with accessories attached, such as scopes, silencers, slings, magazines, etc. My 21-gun safe actually comfortable accomodates about 10, and since I keep bandoliers with a combat load-out of ammo (210 rounds per rifle, 50 rounds per pistol, and 100 rounds for the shotgun), and there ain't much room for anything else. I hang the pistols, knives, and gloves on the door, and store scopes, slings and miscellany on the one and only shelf at the top of the safe.
Further, positioning and securing the safe to make it difficult to remove or break into will go a long way toward keeping someone from walking off with it. Build a tray with 2-inch anle iron, and bolt that to the floor in the corener of the room. Place the safe inside the tray, and bolt IT to the floor and the wall. Nobody will be able to lift a 1000-pound safe full of guns and ammo over a two-inch lip, and if you build a heavy duty wall next to the safe, they won't be able to easily get behind it to tip it out. You could also go to the added expense/measure of putting a swing-away bar prevents the safe from being opened with first removing the bar.
The hard you make it to take, the less likely it is that they'll take the time to try.

I really want to get my safe, when I get it, bolted to the floor. Unfortunately, that means that I have to pick a really good location for it! I don't really want it in the Garage, I want it in my office. However, I have floor baseboards, etc, so then I need to consider an offset from the wall, etc. So many considerations just to keep electronics secure. Silly really. Might be cheaper just to add steel reinforced walls, windows, and a steel door : ) but I am not that paranoid.

Not directly up; but you can tilt tall things way too heavy to lift directly a few inches to slip piano boards under first one side and then the other so you can roll it away afterward with far less effort.
The summer I worked for a moving company, a half ton safe wouldn't've been the heaviest thing we got into a truck that way. At a rough guess with 3 other men the winner was a large storage cabinet (6x3x1.5') packed completely full of tools by a lunatic that probably weighed in excess of 4 tons (that volume of solid steel would've been about 7 tons). 
Having estimated it's weight for the first time, I can only assume we were too stupid to know even rocking it should've been impossible. Getting it over joints in the sidewalk and up the truck ramp very nearly was...

They make hydraulic dollies that can be operated by one person. The fact that commoners don't have to tools means nothing. A professional thief would invest in the correct equipment. The entire theory behind safes is time to crack. If a thief can take the safe they win. That is why people usually bolt it to concrete or use a lip. If you are comfortable with an 1000lbs safe that is not bolted or otherwise secured then you probably didn't need the safe anyway!

Walk away no; but if it's on the ground floor I'd probably be able to wheel it out the door with nothing more than a few 2x4's and eight heavy duty low profile castors.

One of my neighbors had his *full* gun safe stolen a few years back. The safe itself weighed 1100 pounds. It wasn't bolted to the floor/wall because he thought the same way. He bolted his new safe to the floor (6 bolts) and wall (8 bolts), and did the tray thing too. He also built a steel cage around it. I would bet that the safe is close to theft proof now. It's located in the middle of the house, and you'd probably have to knock the house down to get it out.

As with most security measures, they aren't to actually keep things safe, but to make you a less likely target than your neighbour!! Anyone who *really* wants whatever people are trying to keep safe will get it...

The way you worded your post, it sounds like some policy is blocking any searches for safes that contains the word 'Gun'.
Why would any corporate policy block searches for gun safes???
Blocking a search because it contains the word 'Gun' is more scary than owning guns.
