It's not "I" as in "Me", it's a Latin numeral one.
"Charles I" was the first (of two so far) English kings called Charles - he hid in a tree and had his head cut off when Parliament got a bit snotty with him in the seventeenth century.

For some strange reason, the network admins at my current employer block access to codeplex.com where the AdventureWorks2012_Data.mdf are hosted, so i can't get to download them.

Also for some strange reason i also happen to move a round with a Tor Browser folder on one of my USB disks, so i popped it up and there i was, able to browse to codeplex.com & i am about to download those database files.

My question though is, will the admins nab me, will they be able to tell that i used Tor? Or i am just developing a false sense of Anonymity.

Depends on how large their knowledgebase is.
They might only be able to tell if they scan through the networklogs and know the tor Servers you connected to, as far as i know.

But i won't bet they can't. Also is tor not safe anymore, if someone now attacks your Company you might get fired D'Oh! | :doh:

that was just to sense your mind of thinking twice if you want to use a Network that is not safe and not used by your Company.

They should not be able to trace the attack back through the tor Network if one would occur.
But i recommend you not to do that again and instead ask your admins to download the file for you or grant you Access to the download Server Smile | :)

I use my Virtual Server for things like this. I RDP across to the box, and download whatever I need, and then email across (if small) or setup a temporary download link to a zip file on my server to then access via the web.
