What makes you believe that? I think it's quite the opposite.

Had one, two weeks ago, of another type, but still in the family:
I needed to work on an upgrade and had to be on the production server. When I do this, I generally make a duplicate copy of the relevant pages (this is html/php/sql/javascript) and suffix the file-name with "_X".
So, I created HR_PTO_Request_X.php and started at it. (PTO is 'Paid Time Off' and this is HR's version for specialized access). The call comes in from HR, some days later, that the page is a mess and not showing the correct names.
So, looking into it I realize that when I created the original version of this, it was cloned from the employee version, but, as its capabilities were extended, I suffixed it with _X.
Mea elephanting culpa
Fortunately, a copy of the original was very handy. I also changed my suffixing convention to "_vN", and will serialize N.

You mean the spec or the implementation?

Is anyone else being swamped with masses and masses of junk email? It's got really bad over the last month. At the moment, I'm getting an email from FedEx/'Whats App' every few minutes.
I'm running Exchange Server 2010 from home - is there an update I need to apply or have they carefully sculpted these emails to get through?
It's like being back in 2005 or something...
And why oh why, when we have stuff like TLS that can validate that something is what it says it is has no-one ever tried to add this to the spec??
Regards,
Rob Philpott.

Nope.
I got the first "Gentleman's Vegetable Enlargement" spam for about six months a couple of weeks ago, but apart from various bank phishing emails I'm not too bad at the moment.
It probably helps that I use "write only memory" or time limited throwaway email accounts for most website signups though.

Not anymore. I was getting a whole bunch of junk mails every few minutes a few weeks ago. That lasted a couple of days until someone, somewhere put a stop to it.

No. As a matter of fact, my mailserver has received noticeably less spam in the past couple of weeks. (I'm sure it'll pick up eventually).

Not possibly FAST ESP induced that hatred, or was it?
