mark merrens wrote: Could that presentation have been any more pretentious? Well, with a little work and clear intent, I'd think you could achieve that goal. I am being hard pressed to figure out how to do so without making it seem like that is the goal. I think they did an excellent job of hiding that intent for this ad.
I did sort of feel like sticking my fingers down my throat while watching it.

A shame it won't play in my (mandated) browser.

Well maybe they learned from the "You held it wrong" debacle where they incorporated the antenna in the metal frame.
That won't happen now.

You must not be a very good consumer.
If you aren't good consumer you must hate capitalism.
If you hate capitalism you must hate this country.
If you hate this country you're a violent lunatic.
Clearly, you're some kind of wild-eyed, gun waving terrorist.
You'll be arrested, processed, and your corpse turned into a beautiful plastic case for an iPhone.

(BTW, that type of logic is pretty much why I no longer debate stuff over the internet. )

I have an executable that we have been using in our business for 7 years now. It has been deployed and update by click-once. Worked on XP and 7. Even Vista. Never had a problem ...
...Until we tried to install it on Windows 8. Windows 8 would try to install the program but then kept crashing with a file not found issue.
After a day of googling and asking questions I found out that it was because the executable file name has a period in it. Quickly recompiled to remove the period and Windows 8 was pleased as punch to install and run it.
I'm quite certain Microsoft would call this a "feature".

I saw the same problem but with bat file and a full path. That <insert missing word here> thing couldn't find the file because it had period in it
