You got the solution first so well done.
It wasn't that hard, but I thought it was a beautifully rounded and framed clue.

I agree, well worded (& if I hadn't spent so long typing the solution, I would have been first with the answer )
It's the first one I've got to before it's been answered this week - work, eh?

Yeah, sorry about that, but also the reason I post the answer first, then type out the solution.

...and again I didn't notice until an alert came up in the wrong place: they are no longer in the screen center, but centered horizontally at the top of the page. Where I wasn't looking for it, and wondering why it hadn't done what I asked...
Try it: start to post a message, then navigate away. Did you spot the alert? It hasn't even got a splash of colour to draw the eye to it!
Why do that Google?

Yah, I noticed that one yesterday too. Not really so thrilled either, took me a few seconds to work out what the dickens was going on.
Though, I did notice that if you drag a link from a page as you would if intending to drop it on the address-bar or the bookmarks bar, that it now highlights in in a dark-grey rounded rect. Nice, but if it's one or the other, give me back an alert box that well, alerts me!

Hm...
It's quite easy to overlook that alert window...

I just updated and I see the address bar search looks different as well. Can't say I like the new look too much.

I wonder how that'll affect the Ruby-on-Rails community in their feature testing with the selenium-webdriver, as you can write scripts to automate operating the web-app, and one of the things one occasionally has to do is acknowledge alerts.
