I watched it a little while ago to see what all the fuss was about. I really didn't find it that funny.
The Inbetweeners is the best comedy of all time.

Is average at best, full of boring and bland dick jokes and seems to only be liked by teenagers. My son loves it, but at least has an appreciation of Monty Python, Fawlty Towers and the like.

I just found it really unremarkable.

It's damned hilarious!

I like Monty Python, for the most part. Fawlty Towers is simply overrated.

Its good, but Red Dwarf IMO pips it, purely because its got good scifi, and great slapstick!

As an aspiring comedy writer, I will revisit the serious. I did enjoy it when I was younger.

For me, one of the most outrageously funny comedies of all time was The Young Ones. Another short-lived but brilliant show. I wonder what those guys are doing now.

I've noticed recently that I only visit a few sites, and that worries me. Every morning I check in at CodeProject first, then I hit CNN. I spot check Weather.com and Tarot.com to see how my day is likely to go; in my experience, horoscopes and weather forecasts are about equally reliable. I check my bank and investment accounts, then jump back to CP, just in case something interesting has just been posted.
But that's it, and it worries me. Is there some other site that I should be checking during my rounds? What do you recommend?

I think Roger is a bit old for that site.
Hacker News would be better

I'm the same, very few sites I actually visit. Keep thinking there is a whole lot of interesting sites out there i'm missing.
I basically live on CP, Engadget, Register, FB.............

FTFY!
Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.

I don't know about checking but if you want to spend some time reading I would recommend War Nerd at exiledonline. Fanatstic alternative views on the conflicts of the world, past and present. Absolutely my favourite blog.

I could point you to a site that features non-profit, ecological pron. If you don't frequent the site, then perhaps you'd prefer to contribute (if you are one of those tree huggers who also happens to like to f...). Since this is the Lounge, I won't post the link, but this site actually does exist.

Anybody remember the series?
Well have a look at the Space: 1999 Mega Set![^]
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

I barely remember it. I do remember one episode where this large creature hypnotized its vicitims to get them to come closer, where tenticles grabbed the unfortunate soul and pulled them in to be devoured. Then the skeletal remains were slide back out in a tidy little package. Scared the hell out of me at 7 or 8 years old!

Funnily enough, the Lib Dems use exactly the same recruitment technique.

Whereas the Rep scatter your skeletal remains all over, send you a bill for processing, and blmae your fear on your bad attitude?

I remember it well, the most horrid puppet show ever created. Oh wait, that was the Thunderbirds. Ah, well, it was hard to tell them apart at the time. Both series died a well deserved death. Gargantua was more interesting, and more believable than either.

Martin Landau and Barbara Bain were puppets? Does that mean Juliet "Drusilla" Landau is a puppet, too?
