Didn't found any answer on this, in google, in lounge, in hints, so excuse me please, if it's a FAQ.
Is it possible to specify exclusion tags in the search, to skip articles tagged by them?
If it's possible, then I expect it's done with a minus sign. But, I'm not sure that it is.
Yes, I think that typing that in to the search box ( such as ASP.NET -VB.NET to exclude VB articles ) works.

You can use -keyword in the search, but we don't have exclusion in the filter (yet).
Tags of articles are included in the full text search so doing a search for:
keyword1 keyword2 tag1 tag2-exclude-tag1
Will do the trick

hmmm.. maybe I don't understand the method you've specified, but it don't work for me
Search Articles -> Keywords "Socket C++ -MFC", Tags "Win32, C, C++". Found dozen of articles with MFC in tags and several with MFC in a content.
Removing "-MFC" don't change results alot, but without it I got several non-MFC articles that are useful for me.
Is it too hard to implement '-' (or '!') in tags specification?

It seems our search isn't behaving. We've actually been frustrated with the limitations of search for ages and this month have started a new project to completely revamp our search engine with something simpler, more effective, and more flexible,

Are you one of those people who can get free, legal stuff without even trying? I'm just curious...
...what kind of "stuff" are you talking about, and by "legal" do you mean "legal for someone"...?

Well, I'm known for finding free and legal music downloads. Stuff like that I guess.

No I always pay my hookers, unless it's a two-for-one Wednesday night special.

If it required effort, it wouldn't be free, would it?

A little bit of effort is okay to me, as long as it's not out-of-pocket.
