0) I didn't like:
a) The lack of mouse scroll, especially when all items are expanded.
b) The row highlight - moving up and down I found it distracting. A more subtle colour would be beneficial.
1) Nasty. This is a hidden feature that doesn't obviously reveal itself... and once it does, the intent isn't clear.
2) Ok - but I'd work on explanatory tool tips.
3) I reckon that's a silhouette of an F-16 Falcon. Other, wrong headed, people have suggested an F-15 Eagle. Who's right?

What, you don't like "Test"?

The canopy looks wrong for a F16[^] it really does look more like a F15[^] canopy.

a) Don't be too critical. I've only been working on this for a couple of weeks, and lack of a mouse scroll is a) not on the radar right now, and b) I'm sure can be addressed easily when it becomes a real issue.
b) Agreed, but I wanted something contrasty for now. It'll all shake out in the wash.

The problem I'm trying to solve is that the chart itself will eventually be exportable to pdf and powerpoint, so I needed something that wasn't always visible (or that didn't take up any vertical or horizontal space that could otherwise be used for the chart).

Tooltips were implemented just to prove they could be set. I'm not even convinced they need to be there at all.

Who cares? I used the image off the current web site.

Think of it more as constructive criticism designed to assist, rather than plain old criticism designed to dismay and ridicule

Nah - It's a variation on what they're developing with Flash/Flex/Xcelsius.
The idea behind the jelly beans is that a given base has a status for a particular metric, and the color represents their level of compliance with the stated goal/standard. The AETC jelly bean represents a cumulative status for all the bases for that metric. I was more interested in checking the appearance of all the bean colors, so the test data used to build the panel uses the same status for each base regardless of the metric in question.

1. Seems to take a lot longer to load than last version.
2. Need to capture/restore state/history. e.g. I open Resources and select Status of Funds - LAK. Going back to the main page, either via back button or menu, results in Resources being closed.

The idea that I can be presented with a problem, set out to logically solve it with the tools at hand, and wind up with a program that could not be legally used because someone else followed the same logical steps some years ago and filed for a patent on it is horrifying.

It's almost twice as big as the first version.

Yeah, but I'm not yet sure how to go about doing that yet.

Not because of their prices, not because of their policies, not because the 58" inch T.V. they sent the first time was broken. No, they have joined the boycott list because when I sent them an email complaining about how I was physically assaulted by the AIT delivery driver in my home and had to spend an hour an a half discussing the situation with pretty much the entire sheriff's department their response was a form letter. Oh, by the way, AIT is on the list too.
Never again. In the future I will just answer the door with a gun in my hand.

Really? What happened?

Because the previous T.V. was delivered broken (shattered) I insisted on inspecting the delivery before signing for receipt (you know, my right, bill of lading rules all that shazazz). He insisted that I couldn't do that and as I has kneeled over to unlatch the bottom clips on the T.V. he pushed me to the ground. Having kids in the house and not wanting a bad situation worse I stood up and threw him out of the front door and dead bolted it. All-in-all a very bad situation. He was lucky, every single one of my neighbors are gun nuts and the first question they each asked me was why I didn't just shoot him.

Wow! Did you contact AIT? The driver probably will be fired. Did he apologize?

Firstly, I commend you on the restraint you showed by considering your kids in that situation.
Secondly, I assume that means you didn't sign for it. You now have yourself a free TV. Contact New Egg and tell them you're still waiting for your TV

Did he get you in a head-lock or anything or did he shove you over?
Either way, not nice - certainly not a delivery experience I've ever had. Did once have an experience where some obnoxious tosser came to read the electricity meter who was very rude to the (now) wife. I verbally tore him a new one before booting him out; I thought he might try and hit me at one point, but I think he sensed the "gravity" of who he might be hitting (good job for him, too).
Still, probably a good thing you didn't shoot him. Best thing to do now is to get yourself a contemporaneous record of the event, police statements, witnesses and etc. You can bet your life he's going to go on "sick" leave and when he eventually gets fired he'll come after you for some concocted fiction. Forewarned is forearmed... get he facts down now and you'll have no problem when the inevitable court case comes up.

Holy sh*t, dude. I'll make sure those guys don't deliver anything to my house. I do have a sign that says "Never mind the dog. Beware of owner." with a smoking revolver

I don't think it is Newegg's fault then. They do give you a choice of shipping method. You just made a bad choice.
AIT, I agree.
|
|
|

I would say it has nothing to do with NewEgg and nothing to do with the delivery service. It was entirely on the guy who pushed him. Perhaps he could pin it on AIT for hiring such a tosser.

Yes, I agree with you.
But Ennis Ray Lynch boycott list is very strict. If Ennis falls down by slipping in a subway in a Walmart, he will boycott both Walmart and Subway.

Sounds like he's a glutton for punishment. Why else would he discontinue use of NewEgg's excellent service for something an employee of another company did? Perhaps he should just choose a different shipping service next time.
