I finally got seen at 12.40!
Then was told my last blood test was not as she would have liked so I had then to go and get an arm drained.
Finally walked back into work at 2.10pm.

Could have been worse... you could have had to pay for the privelege.

I was thinking the same myself - DD is one of the few people who gets his blood test results measured in Proof.

You have suddenly become unpopular!
What do I mean 'suddenly', you've always been unpopular, its just that we used to put up with you.
I've tried to apply a little balance.
How are you? Are you still 'sur le continong', or back to the grind?

Unfortunatly I'm back at work. Fortunatly I haven't hit sober. 50p a liter wine does that to a man; so do lunchtime Guinesseseses.

Yes.
The current prognosis is sobriety within 48 hours. Which 48 hours that will be is anyone's guess!

It could happen. But then so could a pixie invasion of France, it's just the probability that needs looking into.

Oh come on! It's not like it's an degenerative autoimmune disease or something bad like that!
I mean, I have Asperger's and I'm sure many more CPians do as well, and where does that get me? Into computers. Oh no! Save me! Computers! I so wish I received early treatment!
Crap like this really makes me angry.
Besides, that treatment has got to be complete bullsh*t as well. There is no way they could make me like big groups of people, or too full elevators, or eye contact, hell no. And what else is that "treatment" going to do?
edit: Ok fine, disagree all you want, I will still be angry and I refuse to believe that they really meant Only plain autism and none of the other things in the spectrum, have you ever seen an article on the internet where they got it right? Probably not. Last modified: 2hrs 6mins after originally posted --

You seem to be saying that 'Asperger' == 'Autism'?
They are both 'autism spectrum disorders' but they are not the same thing.
|
|
|
|

They're close enough. They usually mean the whole spectrum when they say autism.

That's like saying sun burn and 4th degree burns are the same. Sure they are on the same scale but it would be a grave injustice to write of serve problems as "something that just needs a bit of cream".
Delays in cognitive development and language don't appear in Asperger syndrome where as they do in autism and they can cause alot of problems.
To say that it just involves a dislike of crowds and holding eye contact is trivialisation.
