I wonder who will be first to reply saying the link is broken?

I assume the link is not broken but the whole site is temporarily unavailable that what it[^] says.

That's funny.
Ironically when I tried to reply to this thread it took about 5 tries to make it to the page where I write my reply.....okay so that's probably not really ironic but still.
"The computer industry is the only industry that is more fashion-driven than women's fashion. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I have no idea what anyone is talking about. What is it? It's complete gibberish. It's insane. When is this idiocy going to stop?" -- Oracle CEO Larry Ellison

I got the same thing earlier today and said the exact same thing to my co-worker (regarding the irony).

A while back someone posted how to change visual studio to do multithreaded compiles without reinstalling it (it defaults to the system config at install time). I thought I'd bookmarked the post but apparently I didn't. Does anyone know how to do this?
Today's lesson is brought to you by the word "niggardly". Remember kids, don't attribute to racism what can be explained by Scandinavian language roots.

In the VS IDE, Tools...Options...Projects and Solutions...Build and Run... On the Build and Run page, you can specify how many parallel project builds.
For C++ projects, this just causes VS to launch multiple instances of cl.exe to build multiple projects in your solution.
Hope this helps

Why does google have nice green ticks to show safe sites but yahoo doesn't?
I never noticed, until tonight, but my mother, bless, still uses Yahooooo!

Yahoo should have them as well[^], apparently.
When I used AVG, I turned SafeSearch off - the ticks reminded me too much of school

I've mentioned on the site that I had a kidney transplant a number of years ago.
Today it was officially confirmed that the transplant kidney is failing. It was kinda obvious due to excessive tiredness and crappiness and the general slowing down in my getting anything done over the last year or so.
So new stuff will probably be few and far between. There is a c# project Im working on that I will keep doing because I like it and want to finish it. dunno if it'll ever get to a publishable state though.
The plan is to pump me full of whatever is necassary to extend the kidney's life and to hell with side effects etc. So programming could take a back seat to staring vacantly at the tv and trying to stand without falling over.
Still I suppose it will give me more to time to slag off people in the soapbox

Sorry to hear that. Are you on the list to get another kidney transplant?

Thanx but no have to wait for it to deteriorate a lot more before replacement is an option. It's still functional it's just been round the block a few times and is getting a bit ratty. That may be an option later depending on general health.

Well, what to say, I wish you all the best.
On a side note, this is The CodeProject, where people even talk about their very personal stuff. There's something special here.

Stay on the look out for fresh kidneys.
Do you have kids?
Stay bitching in the SB!

Hope all works out well for you

Receive a soft hug and good wishes!
Are you in a list waiting for a new kidney?
You will stand without falling over; for sure... but I can't understand why do you prefer the TV rather than posting here in the lounge... well, or The Soapbox...

That sucks.
Do you get put back on the list for another one?
Need software developed? Offering C# development all over the United States, ERL GLOBAL, Inc is the only call you will have to make.
If you don't ask questions the answers won't stand in your way.
