I've found that for some of these systems if I pound on the '*' key on the phone's keypad, I bypass the fricking "press 1 for xxxxx, press 2 for yyyyy" and go right to a (not necessarily competent nor understandable) human service rep.

Getting there, I think - she's pretty much stopped using Oramorph, and cut down on Paracetamol so clearly the pain is much reduced. She claims to be doing exercises but I've seen no sign of that, which is par for the course - if it hurts, she won't do it, so there will probably be quite a bit of physio needed to counter the atrophication if she's to use it again (and that will be a time of much grief for everyone around her).
She's got another appointment with the fracture clinic on 30th and hopefully we'll see some knitting going on.
Her breathing though ... it gets nasty just walking to the loo and back with her oxygen on! When she takes the O2 off to wash her face, her SATs drop to the low 40's! She's got a respiratory nurse meeting next week, and a thoracic consultant at the end of next month. Maybe they can suggest something - but I bought her a wheelchair yesterday to make leaving the house easier for her.
I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet, up her PIP, get a blue badge, and accept my carer role is going to be permanent.

Blimey! When we got COVID in early June, her-in-2780 (who is 80yo) was told to get to hospital ER if she dropped to 90 SpO2.
