I was going to say to another Peter that I didn't mention the brand name because it would have given things away too easily. But to my mind IBM pretty much "owned" the term PC in those days.

I have two reasons not to post (and nothing personal)
1. I'm awful at setting them
2. Tomorrow is weekend and I have neither time nor will to set it

OK, it's not bad, but it has a few flaws.
The "speeding" indicator is visual, not audio - which is a pain. In Here WeGo, you can set how much over the limit you will allow, and when you reach it, it gives you three "bongs" to let you know. In traffic, that means you don't have to keep one eye on speed limits, one on the speedo, and open your third eye for monitoring traffic; you can just watch the cars and keep up with them, hearing a "slow down" warning instead. You get used to it really fast, and it's a big help.
The voice directions are clear, as are the displayed ones - but the voice is a little "muddy" and if you select the "Loud" option all that appears to happen is she develops a serious lisp making it much harder to hear.
The HUD mode is nice to see, and probably works well at night - but it doesn't work even when overcast in my car - there is nowhere I can put the phone and angle it for the reflection is clearly visible.
The traffic / holdup support looks pretty good!
It doesn't appear to support What Three Words, which is a pain, but not a deal breaker (Maps does, Here WeGo doesn't seem to)
Do I like it? A qualified yes. A bit of work on the voice, and adding audio to the speed warnings and it would be a "YES!"

Is there an option to change the voice in which directions are given? Waze does, for example, and my wife & I have different settings on our phones.

But as I'm just going out I cheated and used an anagram solver, so I don't think my answer should count.

It's an easy anagram which I'm sure you could of have worked out yourself - I'm having a break from setting anymore this week

When we first moved here The Maybury was a dump, ruled over by a miserable little weasel of a publican and his cronies. I think the brewery eventually got fed up with his lack of profit and kicked him out. Various people then tried their hand but never quite managed to get it going. Then some years ago it was bought by Mitchell & Butlers (AFAIR), rebuilt, renamed The Inn at Maybury Pub & Restaurant in Woking, Surrey[^], turned into a gastropub, and is doing quite well. A two minute walk from home.

I like that 'early PC' but it is not entirely true if PC is plain personal computer and not the branded version...

Sky Broadband is down round here (and across much of the UK, it seems) which is annoying the heck out of Herself, who uses an online jigsaw puzzle to swear at pass the time
Anyone else got the same?
Thankfully, my phone has a portable hotspot, so she has internet back (and clearly, so do I). I'll just have to remember to disconnect it later or it'll cost me money

According to Twatter, lots of people in the South East and Cardiff have had no Sky internet for at least 12 hours. As of 18 minutes ago, the engineers are apparently on-site and working to fix it "ASAP".
I never had a significant problem when I was with Sky broadband. But now we're with BT, and we've got a box that automatically switches us over to 4G if the broadband goes down. It's also cheaper than what I was paying for Sky.

How much data do you get on your phone? My fairly basic plan ($A50/mo) includes 30GB/mo. I can afford to be generous with it.
Not like the "good" old days, when prepaid phone data was $1 per MEGABYTE. Just as well it took so long to enter a URL through a 12 key pad....
