Nowadays I am always carrying 1TB external SSD with me, this will end.
My idea is:
1. All the software installed, keeping versions of old programs to be able to work with old machines without needing to reinstall things and libraries.
2. All my virtual machines with me and one for every different industrial software.
3. All my server important documents synchronized with my laptop like google drive / one drive but with my nas, that way I will work always locally and files will synch to the NAS once WIFI is available.
4. All my projects in my laptop always.
5, All the videos of the machines I've participated in, local in my SSD.
6. All my FLAC files with me, enough of choosing the soundtrack.
7. Being able to take a few films with me when travelling.
Sure some space will be empty, but better having too much than lacking space, we all know that sooner or later that SSD will be full...

Existing laptop is 4 years old and is no slouch. I hate you  . End of my fiscal year coming up, might be time to pull the trigger.

A Thinkpad T460s... 5 years old (SSD, 12GB RAM, i7-6600u).
I've been feeling it slow when using youtube, virtual machines are incredibly slow, not enough SSD space, ...
A good computer with plenty of ports... but warranty expired 1 year ago, wanted to replace it then, but has been impossible due to chips shortage.
I've seen it is inside the courier van already!

I know the new beast is coming in. Before you start installing all of your s/w, go get a license for VMWare or grab OpenBox. Segregate what you do on your laptop. My laptop has personal stuff plus development stuff and a bunch of VMs. Create a VM for all your personal stuff. Create multiple VMs depending on how you want to split out your development activities. In five years, you'll thank me  .

Had one a few years back. Walk on the treadmill, not bad since I work out at gym regularly.
No notice of the injection other than glowing in the dark for a few days.
To me, it was same as a regular stress test. If you are married, you are used to stress.

Going in for a Nuclear Stress test on Monday to check if I have blocked arteries. I am reasonably nervous about it since I learned a crash card would be nearby.  
Have any of you guys had one? what was it like.
My years of eating my wife's great cooking seem to have finally caught up with me.

I think the crash cart is mostly a safety precaution.
I had a regular stress test many years ago. I was overweight and told my new GP that I had smoked until fairly recently, so he scheduled one. But I'd also gone back to playing fairly serious tennis, so they gave up before they even got my heart rate into the target zone.

Hmm, I thought I answered this. I had one a few years ago, much the same as regular stress test, a few more people involved. I didn't notice anything when they put the stuff in my arm. Needles have never bothered me. Played pin cushion in the service.
Only glowed in the dark for a couple of days.

I've had two (family history of early heart disease). They do an initial scan after they've inject you with the contrast media. You then do the treadmill bit, where they monitor your EKG and blood pressure while they increase the effort level. They stop when you reach either a maximum heart rate based on your age and condition, or you appear to be in too much distress. After the treadmill they scan you again.
I helped the nuclear medicine guy win a bet. He and the nurse who administered the treadmill portion of the test bet on how long it would take me to reach the target. She said 8 minutes, he said 11. It took me a little over 11. The nuke med guy cheated though. We had chatted during the initial scan, and he knew I was a runner and was fairly fit. The nurse didn't know that, and saw me as a middle-aged 40-something with a little bit of a gut. One of my better moments.
I don't think you should be too worried about it. Do be aware if you need to do any air travel the week or so after your test, take your medical documentation with you. You'll trigger the radiation detectors used, and some rather unamusing excitement will ensue. This happened to my boss in the early 2000's, and he almost missed his flight. Fortunately the contrast media half-life is short plus the kidneys filter it out fairly quickly.

Thanks. I had the treadmill thing several years ago. Turns out I had an Ascending Aortic Anuerysm. Resulting in Open heart surgery that I truly believe saved my life.
Now I am having the chemical stress injection due to some rather severe Sciatia at the moment.
Your input, along with the others above is reassuring.

I, and SWMBO, had to take Covid lateral flow tests twice this week; all clear both times. After taking the test it had to be reported on the NHS website. I have to say it was simplicity itself, including automatically reading the QR code from the test strip. Nice to see a UK government web application (which had to be created relatively quickly) working well.
